Located halfway (1.5 miles in either direction) between downtown Edgartown and South Beach, on a dirt road in wooded area, right off a bike path, this lovely, neat, light and airy home is ideal for a small family. Features open living room /kitchen, light wood cathedral ceilings, very large deck, skylights, outdoor shower, charcoal grill, 2 bedrooms on first floor plus loft with 2 twin beds, and two bathrooms. 1500.00 per week plus 150.00 cleaning fee. We have no ferry tickets to transfer. Many good summer weeks still available.

Our Home is located a short walk from the ferry dock and shopping in Vineyard Haven and provides easy access to all of the Island and it’s many special events and beaches. From our home you can walk to four beaches, one of them a very private not widely known beach and we will share its location with you. The public library is only a three minute walk and has outstanding activities for children all year long. Lake Tashmoo which is open to the ocean, is a beautiful wooded walk or drive down a curvey unpaved road to the Lake for swimming, clamming or fishing and West Chop with it’s historic lighthouse and Tennis club is also a short walk from the house. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home provides all of the necessary amenities for a memorable and relaxing family vacation for up to 8 people. The house has a spacious floor plan that has been totally updated, which includes a well appointed kitchen that flows into the open sun-drenched dining area that has a cathedral ceiling and is surrounded by windows on three sides. A comfortable family room that is great for relaxing and entertaining, and four extra large bedrooms, complete this home. We offer a fantastic outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a changing area that is totally enclosed for privacy. A peaceful porch with rocking chairs and an island grapevine that you can use for shade and picnic under its beautiful foliage as you grill on the gas grill. VINEYARD HAVEN

Little Compton is very quiet and peaceful. The house is on a dead end, single lane road with light traffic for even more quiet. Little Compton is a very safe town off the beaten path with excellent restaurants. There are 2 town beaches – one for dogs. Some PLACES OF INTEREST are the Commons, The Sakonnet Wine Vineyards (daily tours, and tasting), and Newport. Daytrips to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Block Island are reasonable.

The yard is very private behind the house and there is an outdoor shower. There is a patio off the sunroom at the end of the house. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has a bunkbed with a queen-size on the bottom and a twin on the top. There are two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower and the other with a shower. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. There is Direct TV and wireless internet.

WALKING, BICYCLING, and ROLLER BLADING are a joy on these flat, beautiful roads and paths (bring your own equipment)! There are TENNIS courts in town, near the common which are rarely used and available to summer residents. GOLF is 15 miles away in Portsmouth.
